Van Compass LLC, located in Rathdrum, ID, specializes in Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit suspension systems and exterior accessories. We are expanding our team and seeking reliable individuals for the position of Packaging Technician. The Shipping Tech is responsible for preparing and processing parcel shipments, scheduling outbound freight shipments, processing and invoicing orders accurately, and maintaining inventory levels. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work well with others, and proficiency in using shipping tools and equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare and process parcel shipments for daily pickups.
Schedule and prepare outbound freight shipments.
Process and invoice orders with a high degree of accuracy.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure order fulfillment is done in a timely manner.
Package inventory as needed to complete orders.
Follow directions, stay on task, and collaborate effectively with team members.
Communicate any issues or problems to management
Follow all health and safety regulations
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:

Prior experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, but not required
Familiarity with forklift and pallet jack operation
Ability to work independently and with others
Capacity to stand for 10-hour shifts and lift up to 50lbs

Knowledge and Personal Attributes:

Previous experience with Shipping/Receiving is preferred
Experience with UPS/FedEx parcel and pallet shipping is a plus
Forklift driving experience is beneficial
Familiarity with Quickbooks and/or Shopify is an advantage
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Effective communication skills
Adaptability and willingness to learn
