Description

Summary: The cell lead will help direct day-to-day operations within their assigned cell. They will help to cover employee absences within the cell, ensure employees are utilizing time efficiently, meet daily/weekly goals set, and assist in all training and troubleshooting opportunities. The cell lead will assist in the growth and improvement of our current processes. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute the assigned plan received from the General Manager for daily/weekly goals
  • Assist in the training of new employees
  • Ensure the approved build process is followed by the employees while mitigating part issues, and troubleshooting constraints
  • Works to improve upon the current processes
  • Leads team by example, motivates and develops team to help meet or exceed production expectations.
  • Help the scheduler maintain a current list of builds on hold due to parts, assisting Drivetrain techs to improve output.
  • Ensures a safe workplace by communicating to management any unsafe acts or conditions
  • Works with management to help develop SOP/WI
  • Communicates with maintenance on equipment issues
  • Other duties determined by management


Requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Strong background and knowledge of units being built, ability to finish any unit
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a shop environment
  • Ability to problem solve and improve upon the current process
  • Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and inspire a team

  • Must have strong workforce planning skills, be decisive and well-organized
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to lead a team by providing direction, coaching, and creating an environment that encourages everyone to work with others
  • Ability to help continue to develop new and existing talent
  • Ability to listen to others’ ideas and create engagement
  • Ability to work independently without direction
  • Must have a great eye for detail and show leadership abilities 
  • Works well with other departments including scheduling/warehouse/parts
