Leidos Australia have two full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) apprenticeships (B1 & B2) based in either Cairns or Darwin. This structured hands-on training program, spans four years and leads to a nationally recognised qualification as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME).  In this role you will;

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair electronic and / or mechanical aspect of an aircraft.

  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment.

  • Carry out maintenance tasks in accordance with the Maintenance manuals and specified procedures.

  • Be responsible for personal tool control, accountability of tools and equipment and upkeep of the hanger, workshop and any related work vehicles.   

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact

  • Strong mechanical or electrical understanding and skills.

  • Ability and motivation to attend and pass required training to obtain a Certificate IV in Aeroskills.

  • Completed minimum of Year 10 or equivalent.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Be eligible to hold an ASIC card.
