Job Description

The Finance Manager will primarily oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our newly acquired Accratronics business and provide insight through robust financial analysis, reporting to the Director of Finance.

This new role will enhance the support the Finance Director can offer to the leadership team and serve as a key finance partner to the GM, including acting as a delegate in select forums when the Director is unavailable.

This role is also a strategic investment in our long-term finance leadership pipeline. The selected candidate is expected to grow into a director-level leader, potentially overseeing future west coast businesses through either organic or inorganic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Application, Customer Invoicing, and general accounting.
  • Act as a key finance stakeholder in supporting post-acquisition integration and operational ramp-up efforts for the newly acquired business.
  • Responsible for the month-end and year-end close processes, including  account reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and robust financial control.
  • Utilize data analytics to provide insights and recommendations to the Director of Finance and site leadership.
  • Support monthly reporting package completion
  • Support yearly budgeting and strategic financial development process
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Communicate financial results and key metrics in a clear and concise manner.
  • Mentor staff accountant and review their standard daily work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace and defense or industrial setting businesses.  Multi-site a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (ERP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $175,000 - $220,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
