Business Development Manager

What you will do:
Join ShopperTrak Analytics, part of Sensormatic Solutions at Johnson Controls—a global leader in retail analytics and shopper insights. We help retailers and property investors optimise operations, elevate customer experience and drive growth through data‑driven solutions.

We’re looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities, build strong customer relationships and drive revenue across the retail and property sectors. This role suits someone commercially minded, motivated and passionate about technology‑led solutions. This is a hybrid position with national coverage and expectations to travel to the Solihull office once a week.

How you will do it:
• Identify and develop new business across retail and property.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers.
• Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
• Deliver impactful presentations and proposals.
• Negotiate and close opportunities.
• Monitor market trends to identify growth areas.
• Work with internal teams to tailor solutions for clients.
• Maintain accurate CRM and sales reporting.

What we are looking for:
• Proven B2B sales or business development experience (retail tech preferred).
• Understanding of the retail landscape (desirable).
• Strong track record of meeting sales targets.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build long‑term client relationships.
• Strategic, analytical and solutions‑focused mindset.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑driven.
