Description
As a Camera Silicon Architect, you are at the heart of defining the future of imaging for Apple products. Your core responsibility lies in pioneering novel architectures, image signal processing algorithms and control algorithms that power Apple’s Image Sensor chips and the broader Camera System. This involves not just conceptualizing new features, but deeply understanding the intricate interplay between optics, sensor technology, silicon design, and software. You will tackle complex, multi-disciplinary challenges, translating ambitious product goals into concrete silicon requirements and algorithmic solutions that push the boundaries of image quality and user experience. You will explore emerging technologies, analyze system-level constraints, and drive architectural decisions from early concept phases all the way through to silicon bring-up and productization.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in EE, CE or CS Experience with hardware architecture and digital design principles Experience leading development of novel features on image sensing devices or complex SoC/mixed-signal designs
Preferred Qualifications
MS/PhD Degree in EE, CE or CS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience Experience leading technical initiatives across distributed multi-disciplinary teams Experience with silicon bring up and debug, hardware-software system integration and final productization Experience with modeling and simulating device/system designs to assess power/performance/area/bandwidth/latency tradeoffs Experience developing algorithms and signal processing data-path design Experience with Matlab, C, Python or other programming/scripting languages Experience communicating and presenting to management leadership and collaborating with technical cross-functional partners
