Software Finder is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Director Business Development to lead our global Business Development function. This role is responsible for driving new revenue growth by developing and executing the company's sales strategy, acquiring new software vendors, building a predictable sales pipeline, and leading a high-performing Business Development team.

The Director Business Development will own the entire new business acquisition function—from market strategy and prospecting to negotiation and contract signing. Once a client is onboarded, they will be transitioned to the Client Success team for ongoing relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's Business Development strategy to achieve aggressive revenue growth targets.

  • Own quarterly and annual revenue, pipeline, and vendor acquisition goals.

  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Business Development Managers and SDRs.

  • Drive outbound sales initiatives targeting software vendors across the US market.

  • Develop scalable prospecting strategies using multiple channels including cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, referrals, and strategic partnerships.

  • Identify, engage, negotiate, and close new software vendor partnerships.

  • Lead complex negotiations and successfully close mid-market and enterprise-level contracts.

  • Build and maintain a healthy, predictable sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.

  • Monitor and improve key sales metrics including pipeline generation, conversion rates, sales velocity, average deal size, and win rates.

  • Establish and continuously improve sales processes, playbooks, and best practices.

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to align demand generation initiatives with business development objectives.

  • Partner with the Client Success team to ensure a smooth transition of newly signed clients following contract execution.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify new revenue opportunities.

  • Represent Software Finder at industry events, conferences, networking forums, and strategic meetings.

  • Prepare regular sales forecasts and performance reports for executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline. An MBA is a plus.

  • 8–12 years of experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, or B2B SaaS Sales.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading Business Development or Sales teams.

  • Proven experience selling to the US market is mandatory.

  • Demonstrated success in consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

  • Strong experience in enterprise and consultative sales with complex sales cycles.

  • Experience selling SaaS solutions, technology products, software marketplaces, or digital services is highly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

  • Strong proficiency with sales intelligence and prospecting tools including Apollo, ZoomInfo, Seamless.ai, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.

  • Analytical mindset with experience using sales metrics and forecasting to drive performance.

  • Proven ability to recruit, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams.

  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.

  • Native or near-native English communication skills with an excellent US business communication style.
