Responsibilities
As an Experienced Accountant you will:
Â
- Perform facility related revenue accounting activities within prescribed time schedules and guidelines
- Pro-actively communicate with stakeholders on monthly financial results and answer questions about said results as necessary
- Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform and summarize variance analysis for patient revenue and accounts receivable, with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert
- Prepare and resolve outstanding issues on assigned account reconciliations
- Field and assess ad-hoc requests, producing clear and concise reports for stakeholders
- Review the work of others for appropriate documentation and accounting guidelines
- Support and drive Team/Company initiatives
- Contribute to the identification/prioritization of business/process solutions and plan/execute testing scripts to validate solutions meet business requirements
- Understand and maintain strict adherence to internal controls over financial reporting
Qualifications
- BS in in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required
- 2+ years of experience in corporate accounting or finance required; healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite
- PeopleSoft Hyperion experience preferred
- Working knowledge of patient accounting systems and revenue cycle process
