Responsibilities

As an Experienced Accountant you will:

 

  • Perform facility related revenue accounting activities within prescribed time schedules and guidelines
  • Pro-actively communicate with stakeholders on monthly financial results and answer questions about said results as necessary
  • Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform and summarize variance analysis for patient revenue and accounts receivable, with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert
  • Prepare and resolve outstanding issues on assigned account reconciliations
  • Field and assess ad-hoc requests, producing clear and concise reports for stakeholders
  • Review the work of others for appropriate documentation and accounting guidelines
  • Support and drive Team/Company initiatives
  • Contribute to the identification/prioritization of business/process solutions and plan/execute testing scripts to validate solutions meet business requirements
  • Understand and maintain strict adherence to internal controls over financial reporting

Qualifications

  • BS in in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate accounting or finance required; healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • PeopleSoft Hyperion experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of patient accounting systems and revenue cycle process
