We are looking for a Data Center Mechanical Technician to join our team in Middenmeer.
What will you do
As Mechanical Technician you play a crucial role in maintaining optimal physical conditions and smooth operation of Silent-Aire's Handling Units within the data centers in Middenmeer. Your responsibilities encompass a diverse range of tasks, including the regulation of air and water temperature. Additionally, you will be involved in the ongoing inspection, maintenance, and repair of various components within the data center to assess the overall functionality of these systems to meet Service Level Agreements for all Silent Aire units. Working closely with the Silent-Aire site Health & Safety Officer, you also prioritize and uphold environmental and safety standards to ensure consistent compliance.
How you will do it
- You are responsible for all regional service calls and Service Level Agreements (SLA) in place.
- You engage directly with customers to fulfill service requests and any maintenance opportunities.
- You engage directly with customer's operations teams to ensure the smooth running of all local assets.
- Report all works undertaken via UpKeep Central maintenance Management system (CMMS).
- Work with all Mechanical / Electrical operatives or Sub contractors as required.
- Ensure all work undertaken is done in compliance with Health & safety standards.
- Share upstream customer information on investments, local influencers/decision makers.
- Works to develop, directly and through networks a qualified pipeline of opportunities, and then drives to convert into Service business orders.
- Work with management and colleagues to growth the after-sales service business and share best practice.
- You are prepared to travel to other countries and locations as required by workload.
What we look for
- You have at least 5 years' mechanical or electrical experience, preferably from commercial, data center, high-tech, healthcare or manufacturing industries.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data center environments and controls/monitoring systems.
- Quick learning capabilities and adaptability to new processes, procedures, and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels.
- Proficiency in English language with additional knowledge of Dutch being advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Highly organized and proactive individual.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including 24/7 call out emergency cover.
- Valid driving license & VCA - B course.
