Full Time Advanced Practice Provider – Radiology (Contrast Administration & Patient Care)
Locations: Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital – Camden, NJ

Schedule: 0.9 FTE | 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Radiology team. This role is integral to ensuring safe, efficient imaging operations through the management and administration of contrast agents, as well as providing direct patient care across radiology modalities.

This is a 0.9 FTE position with scheduled shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Saturday and Sundays with another day during the week.

About the Role:
This position plays a critical role in enhancing patient safety, improving throughput, and supporting radiologists by ensuring high-quality, protocol-driven care for patients undergoing imaging studies requiring contrast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessment, screening, and clearance of patients prior to contrast administration

  • Administer intravenous contrast agents in accordance with established protocols

  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage contrast-related complications

  • Respond to and manage acute events, including allergic or physiologic contrast reactions

  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff to ensure efficient workflow

  • Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures and contrast use

  • Document clinical care and interventions in the electronic medical record

  • Support quality and safety initiatives within the radiology department

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New Jersey

  • Prior experience in radiology, emergency medicine, critical care, or a related field preferred

  • ACLS certification required (or willingness to obtain)

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Compensation:

In compliance with New Jersey pay transparency laws, all Advanced Practice Provider roles include a posted minimum base salary. The minimum base salary for this position is $115,740.00 per year.  Final compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and prevailing market factors.
