Symmetrio is recruiting a Senior Implementation Project Manager for our customer, a rapidly growing healthcare technology organization focused on advanced healthcare technology solutions. This individual will lead complex healthcare software implementations for enterprise health systems and multi-site customers, managing projects from Sales handoff through go-live and implementation completion.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading healthcare SaaS implementations, working with healthcare data structures such as HL7 and FHIR, and operating in HIPAA-regulated environments, along with strong project management and communication skills and the ability to mentor other project managers.

This is a full-time position based in the United States, with Atlanta preferred. The position requires regular domestic travel to customer sites for project kickoffs, go-live activities, and hypercare support.

Responsibilities
  • Lead complex healthcare SaaS implementations from kickoff through completion, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Manage project scope and customer expectations, including changes and escalations throughout the implementation.
  • Lead customer meetings and communications, including interactions with senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Coordinate clinical, engineering, product, and customer teams across multiple implementation workstreams.
  • Oversee implementation readiness, cutover planning, go-live, and post-launch hypercare activities.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to address integration challenges and product gaps affecting customer deployments.
  • Track project performance and help improve implementation processes, playbooks, templates, and use of AI tools.
  • Support the transition from Implementation to Customer Success with a complete customer handoff.
  • Mentor and serve as a resource for other Implementation Project Managers, particularly on complex or at-risk engagements.
  • 5+ years of experience managing software implementations or complex technical projects, preferably within healthcare.
  • Experience leading healthcare SaaS implementations for provider, clinical, or health IT organizations.
  • Experience managing large, complex, or multi-site implementations with multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Strong project management skills, including scope, risk, dependency, timeline, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience working with healthcare data structures and integration technologies such as HL7, FHIR, and APIs.
  • Experience working in HIPAA-regulated healthcare environments and understanding of healthcare data privacy requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with customers and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, or support other project managers.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or healthcare technology environment preferred.
  • PMP certification and AI proficiency preferred.
