Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Income Tax Accountant to join our growing tax team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, tax planning, and reporting functions within the organization. This role requires an understanding of corporate and/or partnership tax laws, financial reporting for income taxes (ASC 740), and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, local, and foreign income tax returns (C-Corp, Partnerships, Non-Profit).
  • Assist with quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
  • Prepare quarterly estimates and extensions.
  • Prepare and review fixed assets computations for all areas of tax
  • Perform technical tax research and draft memoranda on complex tax issues.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
  • Assist with federal, state, and foreign tax audits, including responses to IDRs received from tax authorities, as assigned.
  • Respond to federal and state tax notices and correspondence.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including accounting, finance, legal, and external tax consultants.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the tax function.
  • Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; MST is a plus.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of corporate and/or public accounting tax experience with a Big 4 or regional CPA firm, and/or a large multinational company, including tax return preparation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws, and experience with ASC 740.
  • Strong tax research, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online research tools
  • Knowledge of ONESOURCE Provision, a plus
