Primary Purpose
Load and unload shipments in the transport process to designated shipping docks. Must be able to back up into tight and/or dark spaces. Other duties include filling 11 dock doors and fulfilling any additional tasks assigned by management.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Structurally and safely operate Jockey truck at determined speeds to maintain plant operations.
- Transport chickens from the holding sheds to the receiving area.
- Provide special awareness to protect product, shipping docks, and all personnel involved.
- Must be able to perform strenuous work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Follow all company safety policies, S.O.P regulations, as well as support Goal Zero mission statement.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of Jockey driving experience.
- Must be able to obtain Jockey Driver Certification.
- Must be able to back trailers up in the dark and into tight spaces.
- Must be able to lift between 40 - 70 lbs.
