What will you do?Â
The Lean Practitioner supports Lean implementation at the Location level, facilitating problem-solving, standard work and continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with Lean Leaders to build Lean capabilities for the Johnson Controls site. Role is the engine of continuous improvement, identifying inefficiencies, solving business issues and contributing to the culture of Lean.
How will you do it?Â
Work closely with the Johnson Controls site and Lean Business System leadership team, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to drive strategic initiatives.
Resource for the organization to lead shared service problem-solving engagements primarily within the centralized teams at the location.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness to drive business results.
Develop and manage funnel of continuous improvement priorities aligned to business needs.
Facilitate Obeya Room Set-ups, Problem-Solving and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) exercises, Kaizen events, Workshops, Daily Work Installations, and driving action closure.
Conduct and manage Lean training sessions within the location.
Partner with location teams, conduct root cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities, recommend appropriate technology and business solutions.
Measure, track, and communicate the impact of Lean initiatives, ensuring sustained results and alignment with strategic objectives.
Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the organization's long-term sustainability and success.
Coach and develop location leaders, process owners, and other leaders within the organization, fostering a culture of growth and development.
Support Lean Business System needs across other locations if required.
What are we looking for? Â
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Quality, Engineering, or in a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement.
Experience leading business transformation projects - track record of delivering tangible, recognized business & customer results.
Demonstrated leadership capability, ability to align change management approach to business needs.
Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to influence and establish rapport with leaders, customers and peers.
Proven analytical and systems-thinking: design & deployment of end-to-end solutions that exceed requirements.
Excellent facilitation and strategic thinking skills
Experience in training, and coaching Lean and 6Sigma methods & tools.
Strategic thinking: translating stakeholder inputs, performance metrics, and directives into actionable plans.
Proactive risk management and issue resolution skills with appropriate escalation practices.
Travel Requirements: 25-50%.
