This position oversees payment intake and payment reconciliation process. This role will manually and 
electronically process and post a high volume payments while updating account adjustments 
and keeping records of account standings. 


Responsibilities

  • Ensures transactions are recorded promptly and accurately in accordance with internal 
    accounting policies.
  • Posts payments, adjustments, and denials from all payers and patients.
  • Meets important deadlines consistently especially during end-of-month/EOM closings.
  • Identifies any payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicates 
    this to the Cash Applications Supervisor.
  • Reaches or exceeds target goals for productivity.
  • Balance daily ERA batches and reports.
  • Navigate portals to obtain EOBs / ERA files.
  • Participate in continuing educational activities relative to assigned duties and responsibilities. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Computer proficiency and experience in windows-based technologies.
  • Ability to be discrete and security confidential and sensitive information.
  • 1+ years cash application experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, management of multiple tasks and the 
    ability to do so independently.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with a positive attitude.
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines timely.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team with peers and leadership within the organization.
