The Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Fitter to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet of plant operates at peak performance and adheres to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types plant

  • Diagnose faults and implement corrective measures.

  • Perform routine checks and scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity of equipment.

  • Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimise downtime.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

  • Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts utilised.

  • Provide technical support and advice to the team and clients when necessary.

  • Participate in continuous training and development to keep up with industry standards and technological advancements.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (HGV Maintenance, Agricultural Maintenance)

  • Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar role.

  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems preferred

  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and a commitment to applying safety practices at all times.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A valid UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • CPCS Card Holder or equivalent.

  • Experience with specific brands and models of cranes in our fleet.

  • Welding and fabrication skills.

  • Experience directly as a Plant Fitter either in the hire industry or within the Plant Department of a construction company is preferred.
