What will you do? 

The Production Supervisor is responsible for assuring that the department is operated in the most profitable and efficient basis through proper utilization of assigned labor, materials, equipment, and space. This role directly supervises Production team members and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

How will you do it? 

  • Lead team members performing production operations and maintain labor within the assigned department at authorized levels.

  • Responsible for orientation and on-the-job training of team members in the safe and efficient operation of equipment.

  • Evaluate probationary team members based on attendance, performance, potential, etc., and recommend candidates for hire, promotion, or release.

  • Ensure compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, and production standards; take corrective action as required.

  • Continuously analyze the assigned area for improved production methods and cost controls, making recommendations to the production manager.

  • Consult with team members regarding on-the-job problems, documenting issues, and providing action plans to leadership.

What are we looking for?  

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Proven track record of process improvement and cost reduction.
