Johnson Controls is seeking an Application Engineer to support and accelerate the growth of our Electronic Security business in Chile. This role is primarily focused on providing strong technical leadership, executing Proof of Concepts (POCs), delivering technical trainings and presentations, and supporting the commercial team through high-value customer engagements.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with solid experience in electronic security systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain credible, value-driven conversations with customers, consultants, and partners, while supporting business development objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support for electronic security solutions, including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and integrated platforms.

  Execute and support Proof of Concepts (POCs), system demonstrations, and solution validations for end users, consultants, and integrators.

  Deliver technical trainings, workshops, and presentations to customers, partners, and internal teams.

  Act as a technical advisor during customer meetings, supporting commercial discussions with strong solution positioning.

  Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers, sales teams, and channel partners to support opportunity development and closure.

  Support solution design, architecture validation, and technical alignment with customer requirements.

  Maintain ongoing technical relationships with key customers, ensuring confidence in Johnson Controls’ solutions.

  Coordinate with internal teams such as engineering, product management, logistics, and marketing to ensure customer needs are met.

  Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and competitive solutions to strengthen technical differentiation.

  Support opportunity qualification by identifying technical risks, gaps, and value propositions.

  Participate in strategic accounts and key projects where technical depth is critical to success.

  Provide feedback from the field to improve products, solutions, and technical strategies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  Minimum 5 years of experience in technical roles related to electronic security systems, technology, or similar industries.

  Strong hands-on experience with electronic security technologies, including video, access control, intrusion, and system integrations.

  Proven ability to execute POCs, technical demonstrations, and customer-facing presentations.

  Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).

  Solid communication skills with the ability to engage in technical and commercial conversations with customers.

  Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  Ability to work collaboratively with sales and business development teams.

  Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented.

  Capable of translating technical concepts into business value for customers.

  English proficiency: Intermediate level (written and spoken).

  Willingness to travel within Chile and Argentian among others as required.

  Proven ability to support customer solutions and contribute to successful project outcomes.
