JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
School Nurse
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Valid CA Driver’s License and use of an insured automobile, or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation
- United States (US) citizen or have the legal right to work in the US
- Baccalaureate degree (BA or BS) from a regionally-accredited Institution of Higher Education.
- Current California (CA) Registered Nurse (RN) license
- School Nurse Credential (may be obtained once employed)
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR and First Aid certification

- BA (or higher) degree transcripts (Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by an approved agency)
- Community/Junior College transcripts*
- Copy of credential*
- Copy of current RN license
- Copy of current CPR and First Aid certification
- A current resume
- Provide contact information for professional references, including current or most recent nursing experience and employment
- Applicants may be contacted by Human Resources (HR) with requests for outstanding documents or information.
- Applicants who are deemed ELIGIBLE by HR will be placed on the appropriate eligibility list for a period of one calendar year.
- Eligibility status is neither an offer nor a guarantee of employment in LAUSD
