Gorilla Mind, a leading performance supplements and energy drinks brand, is searching for an experienced Senior Key Account Manager (Large Format) to help drive national growth and execution across Gorilla Mind’s Large Format channel, including grocery, mass, club, and big box retailers. This role will lead strategic account management, retailer expansion, promotional planning, and distributor collaboration to maximize distribution, velocity, and brand visibility.

This position will own key retailer relationships, ensure flawless execution of chain initiatives, secure new business opportunities, and work cross-functionally with Distribution, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to accelerate Gorilla Mind’s energy drink portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

Retailer Management & Growth

  • Manage and grow relationships with national and regional Large Format retailers, including grocery, mass, club, and big box channels

  • Develop and execute annual business plans for assigned accounts

  • Secure new retail authorizations, SKU expansions, and incremental placements

  • Lead retailer line reviews, promotional planning, and category selling initiatives

  • Identify whitespace opportunities to expand Gorilla Mind’s footprint within existing and new accounts

  • Negotiate pricing, promotions, displays, and retailer programs that drive profitable growth

Distributor Collaboration & Route to Market

  • Partner closely with Gorilla Mind’s Distribution team and distributor partners to ensure chain mandates are executed at store level

  • Support distributor sales teams with retailer priorities, programming, and sell-in tools

  • Monitor distributor performance and retailer compliance to maximize execution

  • Assist in developing customer-specific incentives, quantity discounts, and promotional programs

  • Work with distributor partners to improve fill rates, speed to shelf, and in-market visibility

Execution & Performance

  • Ensure strong in-store execution, including shelf placement, secondary displays, endcaps, and promotional compliance

  • Monitor sales performance, depletion trends, and retailer-specific KPIs

  • Analyze SPINS, Circana, and internal sales data to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps

  • Build action plans to improve underperforming markets or accounts

  • Manage customer budgets, trade spend, and promotional ROI

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Marketing to execute promotions, product launches, and retailer programs

  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure inventory readiness and service levels

  • Work with Finance and Commercial Planning on customer profitability and long-term strategic planning

  • Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and retailer feedback to leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of CPG/beverage sales experience, preferably in Large Format, grocery, mass, club, or retail channels

  • Proven success managing key accounts and driving revenue growth

  • Strong understanding of grocery, mass, club, and large retail environments

  • Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, or DSD systems

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in retailer data platforms (SPINS, Circana, Nielsen, or equivalent)

  • Ability to travel regularly for customer meetings, distributor visits, and market execution

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 – $140,000 per year depending on experience. The total compensation package may include performance bonuses, benefits, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
