About this opportunity:

Due to continued growth in our company, we are looking for a motivated Senior HVAC Technician to join the team in our Sunshine Coast branch, with further opportunity to transition into a supervisory role.

This opportunity will give you autonomy and challenge you to do what you do best on a variety of HVAC equipment across our commercial and retail sites. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to continue to develop your technical and leadership skills.

You will be responsible for systems repair and maintenance including:

  • Preventative and routine maintenance to key customer sites.

  • Maintaining a wide range of equipment, primarily focusing on one of our retail sites with Split Ducted and PAC units, as well as AHUs and Chiller.

  • Fault finding, breakdown repair, small do and charge / quoted works on the HVAC equipment.

  • Assistance and support to the broader team on HVAC upgrades, installs and tenant fit out works across the commercial and retail sites.

  • Quoting of repair works and small projects.

About you:

  • Experience maintaining, repairing and fault finding on larger commercial HVAC / DX equipment; as well as involvement with AS1851 compliance testing. 

  • Refrigeration license with restricted electrical required, along with QBCC mechanical services occupational licence.  5 years + working as a qualified technician on similar commercial, retail or industrial sites.

  • An ability to work autonomously where required, as well as be a senior influence across other technicians and apprentices. 

  • Strong communication skills (verbally and in writing) internally and externally to our key customers, with the ability to take full ownership of service delivery.

  • Possess leadership qualities with the drive to lead the team in the future.

  • Good at the fundamentals of daily debriefing on works, timesheets, organization and management of active jobs.

  • Current driver’s License
