What will you do? 

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will oversee supplier quality performance, develop strategies for quality improvement, and ensure compliance with Johnson Controls' quality standards. This role involves conducting supplier audits, mentoring suppliers on quality management practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive superior quality outcomes.

How will you do it? 

  • Conduct comprehensive audits and assessments of supplier processes, identifying areas for enhancement and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

  • Foster collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to address quality challenges, implementing solutions that prioritize customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve supplier quality by leveraging data-driven approaches and promoting innovative problem-solving techniques.

  • Build trust and strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure mutual success and adherence to quality standards.

  • Develop and deliver training programs tailored to enhance supplier capabilities and understanding of quality management systems.

  • Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, utilizing insights to drive strategic improvements.

What are we looking for?  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years in supplier quality management or a comparable role within manufacturing environments.

  • Proficiency in quality systems and methodologies, including ISO standards and Six Sigma principles.

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across diverse teams.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proactive approach to resolving quality challenges.

  • Flexible and capable of managing dynamic priorities within a fast-paced environment.
