POSITION PURPOSE:
Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of agriculture commodities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and document accordingly
- Report all maintenance issues and schedule for repair
- Complete and submit required logs and transportation paperwork in a timely manner
- Pick up and deliver product in a safe and efficient manner
- Abide by all State and Federal traffic regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck and trailer, inside and out, including sweeping of the trailer after loads
- Communicate with vendors and supervisors if delays are probable
Requirements
 BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma
- Must have or be able to obtain Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and be an insurable driver
- Must be able to pass DOT required physical and related drug test
- Maintain Class A CDL and Medical Card
- Availability to work extended hours during peak seasons
- Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
- Understanding of mechanical machines and tools desired
- Agriculture background preferred but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 75lbs., climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins
- May also be required to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to work in grain dust and during inclement weather
- Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
