Part Time After-School Nanny – Manhattan Beach, CA 

A family in Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 is seeking a reliable, active, and engaging private nanny to care for their 6-year-old child who is entering the 1st grade. 

Schedule:

• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
• Start Date: August 19th
• Bonus: Potential for rare overnight care (3–4 times per year when parent travels for work)

Family Specifications:

• On-the-books payment only
• School pick-up involves an uphill 0.6-mile walk from school

Responsibilities:

• Pick up the child from school at 4:30 PM (via walking or driving)
• Assist with 1st-grade homework and keep the child actively engaged
• Prepare light meals on some days
• Provide attentive care and companionship until parent returns home around 7:30 PM

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
• Fluent in English
• Physically active and able to handle an uphill 0.6-mile walk from school
• Willingness to be paid on-the-books

Preferred:

• Openness to occasional overnight stays (paid at hourly rate until 8:00 PM bedtime, $100 flat rate from 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM, and hourly resuming at 6:00 AM)

Compensation:

• $20-29 per hour (commensurate with experience)
