Part-Time After-School Nanny – Philadelphia, PA

A welcoming family in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia is seeking a reliable and engaging after-school nanny to assist with their elementary school child.

Schedule:

• 4 days per week, days are flexible
• Hours: 3:30 PM to 5:30/6:00 PM
• 8–10 guaranteed hours per week

Family Specifications:

• Values a dependable, organized caregiver who can help facilitate a smooth transition from school to home or extracurricular activities.
• Daily routines require comfortable navigation of public transportation (SEPTA).

Responsibilities:

• Pick up child at Thomas Mifflin Elementary School in East Falls at 3:30 PM and safely escort via SEPTA to home, an after-school activity, or a designated local location.
• Provide continuous direct supervision and engaged care until 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM.
• Assist with and supervise daily elementary homework assignments.
• Prepare afternoon snacks.
• Help organize school bags and materials to prepare for the following day.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in childcare, nanny work, or after-school care.
• Ability to comfortably and safely navigate SEPTA public transportation with a child.
• CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Compensation:

• $20–$25 per hour
