Job Description:

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes cost estimation, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for projects.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets.
  • Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and review progress payment certificates and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide advice on procurement strategy and risk management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in quantity surveying within construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost management software (e.g., Candy, CostX).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Certifications:

MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation (advantageous).
