Senior Quantity Surveyor

Abu Dhabi, UAE

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for estimating, cost control, cashflow and reporting on allocated Work Packages.

The project is a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to Abu Dhabi's growth. This includes developing service networks for newly developed land and community facilities such as schools, mosques, parks, etc. KBR will provide Project Management Consultancy services in project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and implementation of the development and early works packages.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparation and maintenance of estimates, budgets, cost report and cashflows
  • Review and comment on bids and contract award recommendation reports
  • Estimating of value engineering options and lifecycle costs
  • Analysing and reporting on Consultants and Contractors cost reports and cash flows
  • Co-ordination with Package Managers, Consultants and Contractors
  • Preparation of monthly and weekly reports

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • BSc Quantity Surveying
  • MRICS Membership
  • Minimum 15 years overall experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in similar role
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Middle East
  • Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major asset and civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities
  • Experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and cost forecasting
  • Experienced user of MS Office, advanced MS Excel user and Primavera Contracts Manager an advantage
  • Fluent English both written and spoken, Arabic speaking advantageous.
