Hourly Pay Range:

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Laboratory Assistant II
  • Location: Swedish Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Part Time, 20 hours
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays as needed

What you will do:

  • Pick up and triage cytology and surgical specimen: gross specimen and accession specimen
  • Process gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimen using various processing and staining techniques
  • Provide customer support as a technical liaison for the cytology and surgical pathology laboratory for inquiries
  • Support specimen send outs by completing patient sample requests as back up to administrative assistant
  • Maintain a clean laboratory station and work alongside team to manage the inventory, logs, equipment functions, slide filing, and troubleshoot issues in the laboratory with the supervisor
