Job DetailsJob Location: LO-Allen Clinic - Allen, TX 75013Company Description Legacy Orthopedics is a comprehensive orthopedic center located in Allen, TX that provides exceptional orthopedic care to patients experiencing musculoskeletal injuries, pain, or loss of joint function. We have openings in multiple clinics due to many of our current employees being accepted to medical/PA school!   Role Description This is a full-time on-site role as a Medical Assistant/Scribe at Legacy Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. The Medical Assistant/Scribe will be responsible for assisting with clinical tasks such as obtaining histories, preparing patients for exams, applying durable medical equipment, and maintaining medical records. The Medical Assistant/Scribe will also act as a scribe to our physicians, documenting patient care, prescriptions, and communicating with insurance companies. The Medical Assistant/Scribe will also be trained to help coordinate surgery and/or procedures for our providers, allowing for a well-rounded exposure.   QualificationsQualifications Gap-year students are encouraged to apply Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and medical terminology Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines Demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care and safety
