About the Role:
WE SUPPORT YOU LLC is looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Allendale, NJ. Hours:
- Monday -Â Thursday 3:30pm-6:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Support clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Assist with community integration, transportation, and recreational activities
- Administer medications and monitor health needs per established protocols
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
- Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved intervention techniques
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
