Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is a member of Boyd Allenton鈥檚 Maintenance team. Our business is quickly growing, and great team members are the foundation for our success. In a nutshell, our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for asset maintenance and preservation. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in electrical and pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair. Ability to work as a team and good communication skills are key components for success in this role.
Location: Allenton, Wisconsin
Essential Job Responsibilities
路 Perform a wide variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical system, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
路 May assign, instruct, and lay out work for Maintenance Technician of lower classifications
路 May troubleshoot and re-program or program and edit programmable logic controllers (Allen-Bradley)
路 Evaluate and troubleshoot PLC鈥檚
路 Observe all Boyd safety and OSHA guidelines and procedures
路 Support and follow the QMS requirements
路 Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
路 In-depth knowledge of various trades, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repair is required.
路 Knowledge of PLC鈥檚
路 Basic reasoning skills and language skills
路 Ability to read, complete, and analyze general business and shop paperwork
路 Can effectively present information and respond to questions/requests from managers, employees, and customers.
路 Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization and communicate with employees professionally at all times.
Preferred Skills and Experience
路 High school diploma or GED equivalent
路 Strong attention to detail with a focus on the company quality standards at all times.
路 Strong verbal and written communication skills.
路 Good analytical and decision-making skills
路 Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs.
路 Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment.
路 Previous manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements
路 Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear
路 Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch tools, equipment, and/or controls
路 Must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds

Our Allenton location offers high-pressure aluminum die-cast products. Die-casting is a versatile process for producing metal parts by forcing molten metal under pressure into steel molds or dies. Using this process, we can produce complex shape products with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability.
