Position Summary:Â
The Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver software implementation and development project(s) or program(s) that span across single or multiple departments/clients. This role will manage resources, schedules, and financials for several major initiatives simultaneously while adhering to SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. The Project Manager has the authority to run the project(s) or program(s) on a day to day basis and is responsible for ensuring that quality deliverables are produced within the specified constraints of time and cost. They will possess knowledge of the larger landscape without neglecting granular details while tracking project health, staying alert for risks, and resolving issues as they arise. The Project Manager will also contribute to process improvement initiatives that relate to improving project delivery.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of several major projects or programs of related projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
- Understand, respect, and address interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs; prioritize efforts in coordination with management
- Identify and request staffing needs for project teams of 5–25 members in coordination with resources and managers
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with project and program leaders/stakeholders
- Provide clear and concise status reporting of milestones, deliverables, dependencies, decisions, risks, and issues to various audiences, including leadership
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and analyze impacts of changes to business requirements and scope; communicate and plan for approved project change orders
- Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables
- Manage risk & quality as it impacts projects, including implications to clients and internal teams
- Provide leadership by motivating and guiding team members to meet goals and adhere to responsibilities and milestones
- Plan for and manage smooth handoff of projects to appropriate business areas/clients, including training provisions when needed
- Ensure adherence to the SDLC from discovery/initiation through implementation
- Maintain a client‑service approach and uphold company values
- Ensure consistent use of project management standards, templates, and documentation
- Facilitate cross‑departmental collaboration to remove roadblocks and maintain project momentum
- Partner with product, engineering, and operations to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and resource allocation
 Secondary Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature project and program management capabilities
- Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark metrics and apply continuous improvement disciplines
- Participate in and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections, and proposals for evaluation by key stakeholders
- Represent and support the project management team on corporate change management initiatives
- Participate in team and company meetings and activities
- Contribute to knowledge‑sharing by documenting lessons learned and promoting best practices across teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Hands‑on project management experience on large, complex, and interdependent initiatives
- Proven experience managing software implementation and development projects/programs in a SaaS environment
- Advanced understanding of project and program management practices and methodologies
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft project management tools such as MS Project, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel for planning, collaboration, documentation, and reporting
- Strong understanding of the life and annuity space, including products, policy administration processes, and regulatory considerations
- Proficient leadership skills include motivating teams, active listening, decision making, and influencing others
- Extensive understanding of the SDLC and its key control points
- Ability to foster innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement
- Skilled at leading, coaching, mentoring, and coordinating groups by promoting collaboration, empowering team members, mediating conflict, and evaluating performance
- Ability to negotiate with integrity in areas such as resource needs, schedule management, scope management, and risk management
- Expertise in Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid project management methodologies
- Demonstrated expertise in Jira and Confluence, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, reporting, and executive‑level presentations
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business‑focused communication
- Skilled at managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
- Expertise in various Project Management methodologies (ex. Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM as well as proprietary hybridized methods)
Essential Skills:

Education, Training, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- At least five (5) years of technical project management experience
- At least two (2) years of program management experience preferred
- Certification as professional Project Manager (PMP) preferred

This is a full-time (40 Hours/Week) exempt position. Hours are flexible within core business hours. This position is fully remote reporting out of our office in Allentown, PA.
