Job DetailsJob Location: Allentown, PA 18104Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayStaff Accountant - Medical Practice Job Title:                     Staff Accountant Department:                 Accounting Reports To:                 Controller Location:                     Allentown, PA Employee Type:          Full-Time, Exempt                          Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for cash management procedures, compilation and reconciliation of monthly revenue, journal entry submission, and account reconciliation. Acts as a back-up for accounts payable. Essential Functions: Responsible for daily cash management procedures and monthly bank reconciliations Prepares deposits from all locations. Compiles and reconciles monthly revenue entries Prepares and posts monthly journal entries to accounting software Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. Acts as a backup for all Accounts Payable duties, including printing checks, entering invoices, and processing refunds. Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures. Other duties as assigned by OAA administration. QualificationsQualifications:                                                  1 to 3 years’ experience in accounting preferred.  Bachelor’s degree and/or accounting degree preferred. Experience within a healthcare setting a plus. Proficient in Excel and Word. SAGE experience preferred.  Must be able to meet deadlines and multitask.
