What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality stormwater design solutions that meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Design subdivision, land development, and public improvement projects using AutoCAD/Carlson software.
  • Prepare Act 167 Stormwater Management Plans, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Develop Post-Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) plans in conjunction with NPDES permitting.
  • Create erosion and sediment pollution control plans and narratives.
  • Perform floodplain analysis using HEC-RAS software.
  • Prepare construction specifications and cost estimates for improvements.
  • Coordinate and prepare municipal review and regulatory permit applications.
  • Review plans for compliance with subdivision, land development, and zoning ordinances.
  • Attend meetings with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies alongside senior engineers.
  • Continue developing your technical expertise and leadership skills, positioning yourself for future growth within KCE.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil or stormwater design.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) required; Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of subdivision, land development, and zoning ordinances and approval procedures.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory agency permitting processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with stormwater modeling software (e.g., HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or similar).
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Personable, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
