Our client, a well-established public accounting firm, is seeking a Tax Accountant with 3–5 years of public accounting experience to join their growing team. This role focuses on providing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to privately held businesses, business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys building client relationships, and has experience preparing a variety of business and individual tax returns. This is a hybrid position offering flexibility, mentorship from experienced professionals, and excellent long-term career growth.
Responsibilities- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and individuals
- Review tax returns for accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
- Conduct tax research and assist with planning strategies for clients
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and support year-round advisory initiatives
- Communicate directly with clients to gather financial information and answer tax-related questions
- Stay current on federal, state, and local tax law changes
- Collaborate with senior accountants and partners on client engagements
- Assist with consulting projects and special tax assignments
- Maintain organized workpapers and ensure timely completion of client deliverables
- 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a strong emphasis on tax
- Experience preparing business entity and complex individual tax returns
- Solid understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- CPA license or active CPA candidate preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with periodic time in the Allentown, PA office
