Flexible Security Work
KRE Security, LLC is hiring Unarmed Security Officers for flexible part-time and per diem assignments throughout Lehigh County and surrounding areas.
Assignments are available based on your availability, qualifications, and operational needs.
Available Assignments
- School security assignments
- Commercial and other non-school locations
- Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts – these make up the majority of our available security work
- Limited daytime opportunities, primarily to provide coverage for vacations, call-offs, and other employee time-off needs
- Additional assignments based on client and operational needs
DON'T HAVE SCHOOL CLEARANCES? YOU CAN STILL APPLY!
Pennsylvania requires specific state-mandated clearances, training, and documentation before an employee can work in a school.
KRE Security will provide you with the information and guidance needed to complete the required process. You must complete all applicable requirements and provide the required documentation before being assigned to a school.
School personnel will be required to obtain:
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check (PATCH) – Act 34
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (ChildLine) – Act 151
- FBI Fingerprint-Based Criminal History Check – Act 114
Additional requirements will apply based on the State Mandates.
SOME School assignments require officers to be at least 21 years of age.
You do not need to already have school clearances to apply. Qualified applicants may be considered for non-school assignments while completing applicable school requirements.
Pay & Opportunities
- $17.00–$20.00/hour, depending on assignment
- +$0.25/hour Military Differential for eligible veterans, active-duty military members, and LEO.
- Flexible part-time and per diem scheduling

- Potential for consistent, long-term, or full-time assignments

Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, professional security presence
- Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, common areas, and assigned posts
- Conduct patrols as required
- Respond appropriately to incidents, safety concerns, and emergencies
- Complete required reports and documentation
- Follow post orders, site procedures, and company policies
- Communicate professionally with clients, staff, supervisors, and the public
- Identify and report unusual or suspicious activity
Requirements
- 18+ years of age for general unarmed security assignments
- 21+ years of age for various school assignments
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable attendance when accepting assignments
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background screening
- Complete KRE Security's required in-person orientation
- Complete all training, clearances, and certifications required for the assigned post
