Medical Director – Skilled Nursing Facilities / Long-Term Care

Position Summary

The Medical Director provides clinical leadership and medical oversight for nursing home and long-term care facilities. This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care for residents while collaborating closely with nurse practitioners, nursing leadership, attending physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. The Medical Director supports regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and development of clinical best practices across facilities.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty preferred.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatrics preferred.
  • Experience of collaborating with nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Work Environment
