Title: School Psychologist
Location: Alliance, Ohio
Schedule: Regular, full‑time (205 days per year)
Reports to: Director of Special Education
Category: Certified, Student Support Services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual psycho‑educational evaluations (academic, behavioral, social‑emotional).
  • Provide counseling (individual and group) for students, including those with disabilities.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized learning or behavioral plans.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist in identification/placement of students with special needs.
  • Recommend classroom management strategies and positive behavior interventions.
  • Provide screening programs and referrals to outside service agencies when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for staff, parents, and agencies.
Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in School Psychology or Educational Psychology.
  • Licensure: Valid Ohio Department of Education certification/licensure in School Psychology.
 Skills Required:

  • Strong communication (oral and written).
  • Active listening and counseling skills.
  • Knowledge of evaluation procedures for academic/behavioral problems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
  • Proficiency with district software and office equipment.
