Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshooting malfunctioning systems (AC, furnaces, heat pumps) and replacing parts.
- Preventative Maintenance: Performing regular, scheduled maintenance on equipment to ensure efficiency.
- Installation: Setting up new HVAC equipment, including wiring and ductwork.
- Customer Service: Explaining technical issues to clients and providing repair options.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate records of services and repairs.
Requirements
- Certification: EPA Section 608 Certification is generally required for handling refrigerants.
- Experience: 1–5+ years of experience is typically preferred for service roles, though apprenticeships are available.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and good communication skills.
- License: A valid driver’s license is required.Â
