We’re seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our clinic team at Harlan County Health System. You’ll play a vital role in caring for patients of all ages — assisting with exams, administering medications, and providing education that empowers patients and families. If you love a busy clinic environment and meaningful patient connections, this is the role for you.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, education, and documentation in the EHR. 
  • Assist with exams, procedures, and treatments as directed by the provider. 
  • Administer medications and immunizations safely and accurately. 
  • Monitor and report patient symptoms, responses, and progress. 
  • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and fellow team members for coordinated care. 
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive care, and medications. 
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards. 
  • Support efficient clinic operations and participate in quality improvement efforts.

Requirements

 What We’re Looking For

  • Current Nebraska RN or LPN license (Medical Assistant certification may be considered). 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred. 
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. 
  • Prior clinical experience preferred but not required — we’ll train the right person! 
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

 Physical & Working Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs). 
  • Direct patient contact in a clinical setting with potential exposure to bodily fluids. 
  • Must follow infection control and safety protocols.
