Job Requirements

As a Fitness Equipment Technician, you’ll be the hero behind the scenes who keeps our treadmills humming, our racks solid, and our clubs safe and functional. You’ll tackle repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety checks across assigned clubs, partnering closely with club teams and our Facilities Department.

 

What you’ll do

  • Own the equipment repair & maintenance workflow in ServiceChannel—from intake to resolution.
  • Complete diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of cardio and strength equipment—quickly and safely.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep downtime low and member smiles high.
  • Conduct regular inspections to spot issues (and hazards) before they become problems.
  • Keep accurate inventory and equipment records up to date.
  • Communicate clearly with club leaders and Facilities—timely updates, complete notes, no surprises.
  • Follow all club, facility, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Pitch in for after-hours/emergency on-call needs when scheduled.

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on experience repairing and maintaining fitness equipment (preferred).
  • Advanced ability to read parts diagrams, wiring schematics, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting chops and the right tool for every job.
  • Detail-driven, organized, punctual—and a friendly, professional presence with members and staff.
  • Calm under pressure; patient, tactful, and safety-obsessed.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel between assigned clubs (valid driver’s license required).
  • Solid verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
