SUMMARY: Assist the Manager – Tariffs and Training in providing member companies,
consultants, interexchange carriers, billing vendors, and other industry players with training,
guidance and support in all aspects of NECA’s tariffs.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
1. Assist and support the Manager – Tariffs and Training: Provide consultation and
correct interpretations for all NECA tariffs for member companies and consultants in
assigned geographic area to ensure accurate access billing. Conduct Exchange Carrier
(EC) training at remote locations.
2. Maintain Tariff #4 database. Provide ECs, consultants and regional personnel with
Tariff #4 training and support. Oversee updates and manage discrepancies to ensure
the accuracy of Tariff #4 information.
3. Provide region staff with information about issues related to tariff items to ensure
uniform understanding and application of NECA’s tariffs and accurate access billing.
4. Bi-annually, manage the regional Access Market Survey. Assist headquarters in
developing and testing the survey and data in the database. Supervise regional survey
input in to the database and manage discrepancies with other databases.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Customer Service, Training and spreadsheet and word
processing. Minimum of 3-4 years of overall experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Strong verbal and written skills in both formal and informal settings
• Ability to lead/moderate conferences, work well in teams and be able to direct/coordinate work
among teams
• Must possess strong analytical skills to develop solutions to problems, create methods, procedures,
short and long- range plans/decisions, formulating budgets, and the like
• Must be able to build and maintain customer relationships
• Must be able to provide customer service and technical support
• Must possess platform/presentation skills to deliver training.
