IT Administrator Overview:

 

Incident IQ is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Administrator to join our growing team.  This is a great opportunity for an individual with foundational IT knowledge to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with a strong desire to develop their technical skills, manage a diverse ecosystem of cloud applications, and contribute to the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

 

IT Administrator Responsibilities: 

  • Provide prompt technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, meeting rooms (Zoom rooms), printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage user lifecycle and access controls across core platforms, including Google Workspace and the OKTA Identity Platform.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory, track hardware lifecycles, and coordinate the provisioning, shipping, and offboarding of employee devices.
  • Document IT procedures, configurations, and common issues to build out knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger projects and infrastructure improvements.

 

IT Administrator Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
  • Familiarity with network concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with troubleshooting common hardware and software problems.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Desk, Zendesk, Freshservice).
  • Experience administering Google Workspace is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to or willingness to learn Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools, particularly OKTA.
  • Experience with or exposure to MDM/UEM platforms (Hexnode experience is a plus).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.
