Aon is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer in Alpharetta, GA !!

 

This is a hybrid postition working 3 days per week in our Alpharetta, GA office

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our team in the Alpharetta, GA office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing executive-friendly financial dashboards and reports, with a strong focus on UI/UX, data visualization best practices, and actionable insights for senior leadership.

What the day will look like:

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports tailored for executive audiences, both internal and External.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, intuitive visualizations and storytelling dashboards.
  • Migrate and rewrite existing reports into modern, interactive Power BI dashboards, improving usability and insight delivery.
  • Collaborate with finance, business, and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality analytical solutions.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reports and data models.
  • Apply critical thinking to analyze trends, identify insights, and recommend data-driven actions.
  • Adhere to governance, security, and best practices for BI development and data management.
  • Minimum Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance.

 

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • At least 8-10 years of hands-on experience designing and developing dashboards and reports, with a strong focus on Power BI.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building executive-friendly financial dashboards with strong UI/UX design principles.
  • Experience in migrating and rewriting existing reports into modern dashboards is highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, and performance optimization.
  • Solid financial background, with the ability to understand and interpret financial statements, KPIs, and business drivers.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and drive outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $85.000 to $95.000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.  The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
