Job Summary

The Count Operations Team Member will work in a team to accurately and timely pull, collect, count and document revenues received from slot machines, table games, and other revenues generated by the casino. Operates currency counters and an accounting system to document transactions. May conduct minor repair or routine maintenance on computer or count equipment as applicable. While performing the essential function of the job, the Count Operation Team Member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The individual is required to stand, kneel, crouch or crawl and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. over a distance of 5 feet. With assistance the individual must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. over a distance of 60 feet.

Job Description

• Scans, removes and replaces canisters for each slot machine in an assigned area. • Ensures each canister is properly secured in the drop cart and each machine is secured after the pull is performed. • Downloads information into the Management System for accountability. • Pulls and fills all currency from vending machines, document related information and delivers paperwork to Audit and Compliance Department. • Compares the fill and credit slips for each table game drop to system generated reports. • Researches and documents any discrepancies and forwards all paperwork to Audit and Compliance Department. • Counts and racks all chips from table games, including Poker, Blackjack, and Pai Gow. • Ensures that each box balances and verifies that the total number of boxes are counted and entered the totals into the computer accurately. • Prepares to sell the chips to the Chip Banker and delivers daily reports to the necessary departments. • Accurately removes and counts cash from bill canisters drop boxes, and other sources on a daily basis. • Reconciles total cash counted through count equipment to actual cash at the completion of the daily soft count. • Ensures all slot machines, table games drop boxes and other sources required to be pulled or counted are accounted for and processed daily. • Prior to starting the daily slot machine cash drop, activates the cash clearance process on the on-line accounting computer system. After the drop is complete, deactivates the process on the system. • Performs minor repair or routine maintenance on computer and count equipment as applicable. Coordinates service calls as necessary. • Protects company assets and reports any fraudulent activity to Surveillance Department and management. Follows Minimum Internal Control Standards, casino and departmental policies and standard operating procedures. • Maintains knowledge of and effectively promote company services and player’s club program. • Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. • Performs all other duties as assigned. • Does not provide supervision to other team members. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. • 2 or more years of related experience. • Experience handling large amounts of cash preferred. • Experience using high speed and technical equipment preferred (money counters, money sorters, etc.). • Demonstrated cash handling skills, specifically dealing with balancing cash and coins. • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products. • Basic customer service and mathematical skills. • Strong analytical and organizational skills. • Ability to use 10-key accurately and efficiently. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work. • Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
