The Loan Servicing Representative will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Assist with managing both inbound and outbound member communications related to delinquent accounts.
- Primary responsibilities include skip tracing, servicing auto loans, personal loans and Visa accounts.
- Processing negative share and loan charge-offs, managing loan recoveries.
- Processing primary insurance, GAP, and debt cancellation claims and maintain accurate credit reporting updates in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Recommends and assigns vehicles for repossession of collateral as approved by management. Provides for disposition of repossessed property as required by law
- Makes arrangements with members regarding payment schedules and modification agreements, an determines members' present financial status to make provisions for obtaining outstanding balances.
The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum two-year experience in credit/collections department, preferably in a financial institution
- Customer service experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of credit/collections procedures and principles
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations governing collection laws
