The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Altamonte

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Performs CT imaging procedures.  Perform X-Ray and DEXA imaging procedures as needed.  Cross-train into MRI during downtime.  Maintains records of examinations performed.  Assists in Radiology Department as needed.  Where appropriate by licensure and cross training, may function as a Radiology technologist.  Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital-East Region Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Performs CT imaging procedures.

·         Performs X-Ray and DEXA imaging procedures as needed.

·         Cross-train into MRI during downtime. 

·         Maintains records of examinations performed.

·         Performs basic patient care with scope of practice and to departmental standards.

·         Where appropriate by licensure and cross training, may function as a Radiology technologist. 

·         Positions patients and equipment, and selects technical factors to produce procedure images and data as needed to meet radiologist standards. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·         Two years CT experience required. 

·         Must be a graduate of an approved A.R.R.T. / Radiology Technology program.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

·         Current A.R.R.T(CT) registration and certification

·         Current State Certified Radiologic Technologist license upon hire

·         BLS required.
