We are looking for an energetic, hands-on, and solutions-driven Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our manufacturing team. What You’ll Do
As an EHS Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and advancing BGF’s environmental, health, and safety initiatives across manufacturing operations.

- Maintain training files for wage and salary employees required by ISO and Safety requirements.
- Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management and implement when necessary
- Conduct new employee orientation.
- Instruct industrial truck training and maintain files on employees with industrial truck license.
- Maintain security system and issue new access cards when needed.
- Maintain master copy of SDS’s and history file on SDS for the Plant.
- Generate and maintain chemical labels for secondary containers throughout plant as necessary
- Coordinate and administer all written EHS programs and maintain the appropriate files/plans.
- Coordinate and update individual department Job Safety Analysis.
- Conduct/coordinate inspections and audits, and ensure corrective actions are monitored and documented
- Responsible for all Environmental reporting, compliance audits, meetings and visits from the EPA and DEQ.
- Coordinate for Safety Inspections & Safety Meetings in each department and follow up as necessary.
- Participate in all accident investigations and ensure follow up on unsafe conditions.
- Responsible for compliance of EHS transportation programs – DOT.
- Conduct hazardous waste inspections as specified
- Maintain RCRA and DOT certifications
- Complete wastewater testing as specified by permit
- Keep accurate and concise records on emissions per permits (Air, Hazardous Waste, Wastewater)
- Other duties assigned by Plant Manager
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: (Four-year degree in science or a related discipline with 4 plus years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment). Satisfactorily complete industrial truck licensing requirements. Be able to work on any shift as needed. Have 20/40 corrected eyesight.Â
