FULL TIME OR PART TIME POSITION- $18-$20 and hour


After-School Teacher

The After-School Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for school-age children while supporting their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Actively supervise and engage school-age children. 
  •  Implement LEAP Curriculum activities from The Learning Experience. 
  •  Plan and lead age-appropriate activities including STEM, arts & crafts, games, outdoor play, and group activities. 
  •  Provide homework support and encourage reading and learning. 
  •  Build positive relationships with children and encourage teamwork, creativity, and independence. 
  •  Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. 
  •  Follow all licensing, safety, ratio, and center policies. 
  •  Use positive behavior guidance and communicate concerns to leadership. 
  •  Maintain professional and positive communication with families and coworkers. 
Expectations:

  •  Be dependable, punctual, energetic, and actively involved with the children. 
  •  Come prepared with activities and materials. 
  •  Minimize downtime and excessive personal phone use. 
  •  Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance. 
  •  Be receptive to coaching and work as part of the center team. 
The goal: Create an afternoon where children are safe, engaged, learning, and having fun while experiencing the LEAP Curriculum and meaningful enrichment activities.
