Accountant II - Petroleum

Provides financial information in a manner that it can be reviewed by management in order to facilitate decision-making.

1. Prepares routine and non-routine asset, liability, revenue and expense entries by compiling and applying intermediate analytics to account information.
2. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
3. Reconciles moderate to complex financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account and transaction data and prepares correcting and adjusting journal entries, as needed.
4. Guides Accounting Assistants by coordinating activities and fielding questions.
5. Facilitates disbursements by verifying documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
6. Demonstrates intermediate accounting knowledge & principles through answering questions, producing the results of research, and interpreting policies and procedures.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. 

Experience

• 1 year experience in general accounting or related field required.
